Product Summary

With China Life Critical Care Rider or DIRECT-China Life Critical Care Rider, you will receive a lump sum death benefit of the basic plan1 in the event that you are diagnosed with any of the covered critical illnesses (CIs). You can attach this rider to your basic plan to receive CI coverage.

The Life Insurance Association Singapore (LIA) has standard definitions for 37 severe-stage Critical Illnesses (Version 2019). These Critical Illnesses fall under Version 2019. You may refer to www.lia.org.sg for the standard definitions (Version 2019).

1. If the life insured is diagnosed with any of the critical illnesses except for an illness which requires Angioplasty & Other Invasive Treatment For Coronary Artery, a lump sum benefit of 100% of the sum assured of the critical illness rider plus the accumulated bonus (if any) is payable. If the life insured is diagnosed with an illness which requires Angioplasty & Other Invasive Treatment For Coronary Artery, a lump sum benefit of 10% of the CI benefit payable of the critical illness rider is payable, subject to a maximum amount of SGD25,000, plus 10% of the accumulated bonus (if any). The remaining sum insured is the original sum insured less the amount first claimed for Angioplasty and Other Invasive Treatment for Coronary Artery.

2. The Critical Illness (CI) benefit payable is subject to the CI per life limit of SGD2,000,000 as aggregated with other policies and riders issued by us on the same life insured.
