China Life Insurance Singapore and SJTU Asia-Pacific Graduate Institute Signed Memorandum of Understanding

SINGAPORE, 23 April 2024 - China Life Insurance (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. ("CLIS") and SJTU Asia-Pacific Graduate Institute Ltd( “SJTU-APGI”) have signed Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”). The MOU aims to establish a long-term partnership in various areas, including customer referrals, preferential policies, knowledge exchange, and consulting services. Both parties will collaborate to enhance market presence in the "Insurance + Education" ecosystem, while jointly strive to promote the development in Singapore.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is one of China’s oldest and most renowned higher education institutions, with a prestigious reputation both domestically and internationally. Antai College of Economics and Management is one of the affiliated colleges of SJTU and stands as the first business school on the Chinese mainland to have received triple accreditation from AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS. The ASEAN MBA program offered by Antai College of Economics and Management has been conducted in Singapore since 1993, and it is the only top-tier Chinese-language MBA program in the ASEAN region. Graduates of this program are awarded with SJTU MBA Degree Certificate and Master’s Graduate Certificate.

Presently, CLIS is placing a strong emphasis on addressing the protection needs of its customers while actively exploring collaborations with relevant industries. Through its “Insurance+” ecosystem, it aims to establish connections to a wider range of sectors, including finance, technology, healthcare, education, retirement, taxation, investment, legal services, and daily living. At the signing ceremony, Mr. Lin Xiangyang, Chief Executive of China Life Singapore, and Professor Peng Yinghong, Dean of SJTU-APGI, signed the MOU. The event was witnessed by Zhou Yuyun, Minister-Counsellor for Political Affairs from the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, and Academician Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

This partnership marks a significant milestone for China Life Singapore as it deepens its collaboration with the education sector. By closely integrating "Insurance + Education," the company aims to offer more holistic and personalized services while exploring innovative solutions within the education industry. These efforts will enhance risk management and financial planning for a broader audience, contributing to the advancement of education and societal development.
